COALITION is about two unlikely friends.
Carl Robinson and Craig Pullen
James Dean and Joaquin Phoenix.
Nick Clegg and David Cameron.
This is our story, a History, some history, some Hollywood…
… a few lies, some liars, some bad acting and some seriously good acting. But more than that, this is one of those moments that takes your breath away, brings a tear to your eye and makes you realize that you just witnessed something really, really special...
In Coalition, Carl Robinson and Craig Pullen try to embody some role models that society has given them. They compare their own relationship to other friendships. The fictional one, that seems to defy time and death, between James Dean and Joaquin Phoenix, and the very new and potentially suspicious one between David Cameron and Nick Clegg.
Beginning with referencing famous figures from the last 50 years and ending with challenging the most significant relationship between two men in the UK of recent times, they raise questions about masculinity, sexuality, deception and manipulation.
